Over the past few months, I’ve gone from occasional and curious usage of the AI tool ChatGPT to it becoming a key tool that I use for work, learning, and fun!

Though it’s not perfect, it can make things up and I don’t recommend it for writing content due to plagiarism and quality issues, it can be incredibly useful.

Here are some cool ways you can use it and the prompts you might want to try to get started!

7 Interesting Ways You Can Use ChatGPT Today

1. Travel Buddy: Use ChatGPT to enhance your travel experience.

Ask it for offbeat places to visit, local cuisines to try, or even local traditions and customs. For example, you could ask, "What are some lesser-known tourist spots in Paris?" or "What's a traditional dish I must try in Japan?"

2. Language Practice: Brush up on your language skills before you visit a new place.

Ask ChatGPT for common phrases or vocabulary, like "Can you teach me some basic French phrases?" or "What are some common Spanish words used in daily conversation?" You can even talk with ChatGPT in the language you want to practice.

3. Virtual Personal Assistant: As a self-employed professional or freelancer, use ChatGPT to help manage your tasks.

For instance, ask it, "What would a professional email to a potential client look like?" or "How should I structure my day for maximum productivity?"

4. Content Creation: From brainstorming ideas to creating drafts and proofreading, ChatGPT can be your content creation partner.

Ask, "Can you help me outline a blog post on digital marketing trends?" or "Could you provide a catchy opening for my travel vlog script?"

5. Learning & Skill Development: Utilize ChatGPT as a learning tool wherever you are and whatever your interests.

Try, "Can you explain the basics of Python programming?" or "Could you provide a brief on Renaissance art?"

6. Finance Management: ChatGPT can help demystify financial jargon and theories.

You could ask, "Can you explain the concept of compound interest?" or "What should I consider when creating a financial plan?" However, it's important to remember that while it's a useful tool for understanding, it's not a certified financial advisor.

You can also give it a budget and ask it to help you plan out your meals or other expenses for the week.

7. Emotional Support: Travel and freelance life can have its lonely moments. ChatGPT is there to listen and is available 24/7.

You can say, "I had a tough day and I need to vent" or "Can we have a casual chat about movies?" You can even role-play with ChatGPT playing one of your favourite fictional characters.

Note: Always make sure to talk to a friend, family member or professional when you need to.

Remember, ChatGPT is continuously learning and evolving and it can make mistakes but you can certainly still do a lot with it.
