How to Create a Perfect Remote Office Setup Anywhere!
Check out these top tips for creating the perfect remote office setup anywhere.
One of the best things about being a digital nomad is being able to work from anywhere – a trendy cafe, a creative coworking space, or a cosy at-home office.
I’ve worked in all of these places, and I’ve even created makeshift workspaces in hotels and Airbnbs while travelling. After all, being a digital nomad means the freedom of working anywhere that has an internet connection. But, it helps to have a little more than WiFi.
However, while working remotely offers freedom, it isn’t always fun and games. There are still deadlines to meet and money to make, which requires productive workdays. The best way to go about this is to have a workspace that’s conducive to working, no matter where you are.
So, how can you create the perfect remote office setup anywhere? Over the years, I’ve found that there are a few things necessary for creating a comfortable and productive workspace in order to be a successful digital nomad.
Here are a few of my favourite useful products for working remotely like a pro:
Laptop stand: This compact, foldable, and adjustable laptop stand raises your computer to a comfortable level and comes with a convenient carrying bag.
Ergonomic mouse: This mouse has an ergonomic comfort design and Bluetooth and USB capabilities for easy use anywhere.
Noise-cancelling headphones: These are great for drowning out distracting noises. They silence up to 90% of machine noise to help with focus.
Power bank: Use this power bank to keep multiple devices charged up, including a computer, phone, earbuds, and camera.
Nord VPN: A virtual private network, or VPN, offers internet security no matter where you work. This one comes with a free trial + money-back guarantee. (compare with some of our other tried and tested VPN options)
Mobile hotspot: Use this mobile hotspot to stay connected with secure 4G LTE WiFi in 130 countries. (here are some of our other favourite remote WIFI options)
Desk fan: Stay cool and comfortable with this 3-level, portable, lightweight USB cooling fan.
The best part about these items is that they’re easy to take on the go. A good digital nomad backpack is essential. That way, you can keep all of these items in one place for travelling. And, if you’re settled in a home base, you’ll have a bag for the days you head to a cafe or coworking space.
Creating a comfortable and productive workspace no matter where you are is key to being a successful digital nomad. I hope these suggestions help you create your perfect remote work setup!

Previously known as TransferWise, this is one of the best bank cards for digital nomads and makes it easy to transfer money between currencies and countries without high fees.
As a freelancer, I always request that we are paid via Wise rather than Paypal, if possible, as it is easy to lose so much money to Paypal fees.
